On
the 10th of October 2004, started cibernaticaly at the Orkut
relationship site my community “ Vivendo, Amando e Aprendendo (Living,
Loving and Learning). This
is the title of one of the most beautiful books ever written and
baptizing a community with such a name is my way of honoring it’s
writer Mr. Leo Busgaglia.
The
number of members grew very quickly and the transit between the people
became a natural form of interaction.
Right
at the beginning of our meting the real world, in the 16th of
December 2004, a chain of affective ness involved the people that were
present and at that moment a group of friends was born ready to walk
side by side.
As
the tine went by, the group dispersed, each one following a different
path. However at that moment they had been a strong friendship
developed. From that group came out another group a bit smaller in size.
The
“LLL” grew more and more every day, the topics bringing closer the
people involved, more and more so as it wasn’t any more a community
but it became a Familiytship, a word that I constructed to characterize
a “family” type relationship which is felt under each and every new
mention and topic.
From
then on, I started giving nick names to the participants who, when
showing their opinions start to sign with their own nick names.
Nowadays,
the respect between the members and the seriousness of the community is
what differentiate the “LLL” from so many others.
The
subjects of this community are turned towards culture, religion, to the
help one another and help
your own self, related to the public utility and public orientation and
of course having healthy and respectable personality.
Without
mentioning “The Love Army” formed by part of the members that offer
to pray for those that need
to be prayed for and as well as for the health of the planet.
Other
meetings were realized in São Paulo up until March 2005, when we had
our first meeting in Rio de Janeiro. There it happened at a “luau”.
Since then we straightened our relationship with our friends from Rio de
Janeiro (the “cariocas”).
In
this moment I had the idea of promoting a contest for the choice of our
good luck symbol and in climate of happiness and relaxation throughout
all the topic created dor this, the butterfly was elected and nowadays
it is our symbol. It’s history relates clearly the philosophy of “LLL” that is a certainly that
all of us are always undergoing a constant process of transformation.
Encouraged
with the idea of a mascot, I launched the song of the community, a music
that explain all that the community represented to us all. The chooser
music is “ As long as the sun shines” by the Titãs.
LLL
was about to complete one year
of existence. I and a group of friends decided to give a big
party, where we united the largest possible number of members from all
over Brasil without realizing it, the collaboration party became a
“Charitable Party” for children with cancer from the state of São
Paulo.
The
party was a success, vouched by its 12 hours duration.
On that day a member of “LLL” who was there donating his work
through the music, brought me to tears when he announced the Hymn of
“LLL”, composed by him! Maharama (Rogerio Baraquet) is the author of
the LLL Hymn, already recorded on CD and circulating in the market.
Since
then, we didn’t stop. Nowadays we have already given 12 charity
Bingos, during which we collected more than 5.000 units of jelly, 8.000
patch’s of Maizena biscuits, 1.200 toys, nappies, food supplies, milk,
cloths, in São Paulo, Santo André, Campinas, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba,
Porto Alegre and Salvador. At the moment more Bingos are being
desenvolved, besides having given twice donations to various
institutions.
In
São Paulo, we work to attend the CACCC (the support center to destitute
children with cancer) – In Rio de Janeiro the entity is the Hospital
pf the Public II Assistants, that attends to children between the ages
of 0 to 4 years, carriers of HIV AIDS. In Campinas the chosen entity was
“A Toca do Assis” that treats children and adolescents with multiple
deficiencies – In Curitiba was the APAV (Paraná Association’s )
that take care after children carriers if the HIV virus – In Santo
André the entity it went to the Child Oncology Section – in São
Bernardo to the Hospital Anchieta – In Porto Alegre went to the
Adolescents Oncology Section of the Femina Hospital and in Salvador it
went to the GRAAC (group of assistance to children with cancer). Other
Brazilian states are working to become a part of this Goodness movement,
made of Goodwill people, for it is very important to relate, and make
clear that until the present moment we haven’t received any financial
help, everything has been done and substantiated through orders on
Internet from the Orkut Society and requests for help, participation and
collaboration of people from our society.
Our
team isn’t very big, doesn’t own many resources, or better still,
doesn’t have any resources; we do everything with the heart, in our
hands palms.
Nowadays
we tread on a pretensions and dreamy path
and we have transformed the Community in an ONG, established
exactly to continue to achieve our part, in the certainty that we could,
surely, do something without the excuse at not having financial
resources, prestige or power, with Goodwill and the certainty that we
are a part of a privileged minuses, making as able to practice this act
of solidarity and citizenship.
Until
now, we haven’t received any payment, and no financial resource has
been directed our way. We are not celebrities and we don’t pretend to
receive the Nobel Prize of Peace, on the contrary, we have proved over
and over, that the peace that we are looking for is to be found
primarily in our own selves, and for having discovered the sweet taste
of the “Art of Living in Peace” (peacefully), we seek the other,
this being destitute, infirm and above all, Child or Adolescent,
tomorrow will be able to be responsible to big discoveries, inventions,
and why not say, Scientists responsible for the cure of their own ills.
Yes!!!
We haven’t received a cult, we don’t earn and don’t gain
financially, but we have become more humane; people conscious of their
social and Christian responsibilities.
Today we are millionaires, and our richness is based on our
interior peace, for have won what no financial resource would provide:
we have earned more sensibility, much more courage and even bigger
compromise; much more discernment and more, much more love in the things
we do.
We
are small in stature, we are fragile in our physical aspect, but we
bring in our heart the
right direction of the doves,
and the certainty that with the gift to give our love we multiply our
courage, besides bringing in our hearts the certainty of having become
better people, every day throughout our trajectory in life. Therefore,
we join hands: Living,
Loving and Learning!
